My mom has this clean-ass '89 Fox Body with 50k miles on it. She wants me to sell it for her. What sites have you had success with selling classics? Cost is really no issue. It is a really clean example and I think the right buyer will pay top dollar for it. Sadly it is autotragic (but it's rebuilt, with a shift kit.) The only mod is a Magnaflow cat back. What has your experience been with the various listing sites?

BAT is what I would suggest.

I would try to have it put it in the next Bringatrailer.com auction.

Craigslist if you can put up with the bullshit.

Hemmings is okay, but it won't sell as fast.

Ebay is crap.

You don't need to bring a trailer though. Do they sell running originals too?

Yes, checkout their site. Most of the stuff is running and rare.

I'll second BaT. If you don't want to do their auction, you could put it on craigslist, and try to do a 'seller submission'. No guarantee they will run it though.

I would recommend listing on the multitude of Mustang-specific forums. It guarantees the correct audience and most likely a solid caretaker once it's sold.

Corral.net

Stangnet, mustangforums, etc.

It's generally accepted that fox convertibles are less coveted. Automatics are also less desirable. Be prepared to accept less than a comparable coupe or hatch will bring in the same condition.

Good advice, and something to consider. Thanks!
